About Twelfth House

Twelfth House Stitchery is a creative home for my evolving love of fiber art.

I’m a native New Englander and happiest near the ocean, usually with my eyes on the sand looking for shells. That connection to the water has always felt fitting as a Pisces: the twelfth sign of the zodiac, symbolized by fish and often associated with creativity, intuition, and imagination.

The twelfth house also represents the completion of a cycle: a full journey through the zodiac, shaped by everything learned along the way. I liked that idea as a reflection of my own experience with fiber art. Over the years, I’ve experimented, learned new techniques, changed direction, and continued building on what came before.

Sometimes a particular idea captures my attention, and I end up making far more than I could ever reasonably gift. Twelfth House is a place to share those pieces, document what I’m learning, connect with others who appreciate handmade work, and occasionally release small collections of the things I most enjoy creating.

Pieces are made slowly, intuitively, in limited quantities (or one of a kind) and always reflective of whatever has inspired me most at the time.

it began with an overly ambitious attempt at an amigurumi mermaid for my (then) toddler and never stopped. My favorite fibers to work with are cotton and chenille.
